Group Homes

Utah Youth Village operates four Group Homes, three for teenage boys and one for latency-aged girls, along the Wasatch Front. Treatment is provided by Family Teachers, full-time married couples that live in each home.

We teach our youth to live in a normal, healthy family environment. They learn to overcome their chaotic backgrounds and to behave appropriately. In the end, their performance at school is improved, they become more mature, and they have the skills necessary to succeed in life.

76% of the youth in our Group Homes are positively discharged - returned home, adopted, or placed in a less restrictive setting.

Group Home for Little Girls

Utah Youth Village's Little Girls Home is the first and only of its kind in the state. The home is designed to provide treatment for up to six girls, ages 6-12, who are too troubled for foster care but need a family-like alternative to psychiatric hospitalization.

We provide and alternative that is highly structured in a home-like setting uniquely suited to this younger population.

Our new home has its own therapist, contracted psychiatrist, and four staff members who are all focused on skill-building and meeting the needs of the children, as well as their families, while allowing the girls to live, learn, and play in a family environment.

For admission information, contact Jeff Bright at jbright@youthvillage.org or call him at (801) 272-9980 ext.130.
